Tectonic Plates from Tectonic Audio Design utilize breakthrough “Distributed Mode Loudspeaker” technology to overcome many limitations of traditional cone- shaped loudspeakers. The results are a true game-changer for use in church, with some of the main benefits being extremely high fidelity, minimal room interaction, and feedback resistance.
Part 4 discusses feedback – and how most everyone is aware that when as microphone “hears” content from a loudspeaker and passes it back to be amplified and played out of that same loudspeaker, a feedback cycle is created (with usually a highppitched squeal.) DML technology, while not feedback proof, is in fact very feedback resistant allowing for more gain before feedback, and more flexible placement of main speakers.
